Attendees can expect to leave this interactive session with practical ideas to improve their current marketing efforts. We will present useful data and facilitate group work. Each advisor will develop a clear, concise ?elevator speech? so that they can easily speak with prospects about how they are different from local competitors. We will also help advisors understand how to conduct a successful seminar?getting prospects into the room; preparing excellent, interactive presentations, and ensuring that 80% or more of the prospects sign up for appointments before they leave the seminar.

Speaker Biographies
Jobie McCormick is a leading financial advisor with extensive knowledge and experience. She holds a Bachelor?s Degree from Smith College and a Master?s Degree in Education from the University of New Mexico. She has also been awarded the Client Service Award, Outstanding Client Focus Award, and Practice of the Year Award by industry leading corporations. She has combined her educational background with her experience as a financial adviser to start the company ?Resources for Advisers? where she offers resources to help advisers grow their financial planning practices. A highly respected speaker, she has addressed several investment and financial establishments as well as nonprofit organizations and corporations.

Steven J. Schueth is President and Chief Marketing Officer of First Affirmative Financial Network, LLC. He served as a Director of the Social Investment Forum (1992?2002), and served as Chair and President of SIF (1993?2000). He is has been a director of the Council for Responsible Public Investment and Co-Chair of P3 (People, Planet, Profit) Colorado. He received the social investment industry?s ?SRI Service Award? in 1998. Prior to starting his consulting practice in 1997, Steve worked for nearly eight years as a senior executive of Calvert,? where he specialized in promoting the concept and practice of socially responsible investing with the public and press. His efforts significantly enhanced Calvert?s reputation as a leader in the field, while the firm?s socially screened mutual fund assets more than tripled. He led a product development group that created the first global socially screened mutual fund in the U.S. and was involved in launching four other new Calvert funds designed for socially aware investors. Steve managed Calvert?s national sales organization from 1994 to 1997. As President of Calvert Distributors, Inc., he oversaw the company?s relationships with over 2,000 broker-dealer firms and grew the assets of Calvert?s 35 money market, bond and equity mutual funds. Steve achieved these accomplishments with a team oriented management style and a path-breaking initiative that reoriented sales into customer-focused teams working with a values based selling process. Born August 27, 1954 and raised in New Hampton, Iowa, his father owned a hardware store where Steve worked meeting the needs of retail customers from the age of ten. He graduated from Marquette University in Journalism/Communications. He has held FINRA Series 24 (Registered Principal), 7 (Registered Representative) and 63 (Uniform Securities Agent) licenses. Prior to his association with Calvert, Steve served for three years as a major gifts officer and Director of Development at the Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania.
