The Community Investing Toolkit for the Faith Community, recently released by the Social Investment Forum, was developed to address the growing demand from religious investors for a community investing resource focused on the faith community.  The guide grew out of a 2007 roundtable discussion of 25 representatives from various religious institutions.

Description
This session will provide an introduction to the field of socially responsible investing, and is especially geared toward meeting the information needs of people new to the SRI industry. The panelists will define common SRI terms, provide an overview of the industry, explain major trends, and discuss core SRI strategies: portfolio screening on environmental, social, and governance factors; shareholder advocacy; and community investing. Questions from the audience are welcome to enrich the educational nature of this session.
