Description
Working conditions in factories and farms around the world are key supply chain issues that corporations must manage and investors should evaluate. Labor problems can affect sales, a company's reputation, and its financial performance. This panel will review different ways companies address labor issues and how shareholders can influence them. The discussion will focus on forced labor in the Uzbek cotton industry, Chinese factories that supply major brands and retailers, and Korean companies' dependence on domestic workforces. SIRAN's (Sustainable Investment Research Analyst Network) Emerging Markets Disclosure Initiative will also be highlighted.
